Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I submit a resume?

We welcome all qualified candidates to visit our career website at www.infinera.com/careers/ and review the openings we have. There, you can search for and apply to a job, submit your resume, and create a profile online.

  1. If I have trouble completing my application, is there another way to submit my information?

Yes. You can send your resume and cover letter to staffing-coordinator@infinera.com. We will review your resume to see if your qualifications match one of our current openings.

  1. What happens to my resume after it’s been submitted?

Once your resume is submitted, the Infinera team will review it. If there is a fit, you will be contacted. We will also retain your resume in our database for six months in case we find another position for which you may be qualified.

  1. After I submit my profile and/or application, will I receive a response?

Yes, you will receive an email from us thanking you for your interest in our company and for submitting your resume. You may also receive a response from a recruiter if we feel your qualifications match the position for which you’ve applied. If it is determined that you are not a fit for any of our current openings, you will be notified via email and your resume will be kept on file for the next six months.

  1. Will I be considered for other positions when applying for a specific position?

You will need to apply to each position you are interested in separately. However, we may contact you if we discover an open position that may better fit your talents and experience, or at a later time if we have an opening that fits your skill set and experience level. By setting up a profile at www.infinera.com/careers/, you will also be notified of new positions as they become available.

  1. What should I expect as a new employee?

Once an offer is extended to you and you accept it, you will receive any benefit information and forms that you need to complete for your first day. New hires will also go through an orientation program, which will help acclimate them to the company and their surroundings. New hires will be required to complete some additional paperwork during their first week of employment.
