INFINERA DEEMED “ESSENTIAL BUSINESS” – SUNNYVALE FACILITIES REMAIN OPEN
On March 31, the Health Officer of the County of Santa Clara, the county in which our Sunnyvale headquarters and facilities are located, extended the Santa Clara County Order requiring all non-essential businesses to remain closed through May 3, 2020.
As a provider of essential infrastructure to the telecommunications industry, we are an essential business under the Order and will remain open. We will, however, be limiting the presence of employees at our Sunnyvale location to those necessary for our continued critical operations. We will also be following all the social distancing requirements and other requirements of the Order with respect to these employees and our operations.
As the world continues to face unprecedented challenges, we are heartened to see people, companies, communities and countries come together to combat COVID-19. This will be done by policy, safe practices, and personal sacrifice. As we are all encouraged to use “social distancing,” Infinera will continue to play a role permitting “physical distancing” but promoting social closeness – through the technology we provide and the networks we enable.
