Infinera Line System 1 (ILS1)

The Infinera Line System 1 provides photonic transport and amplification for either 40 or 80 DWDM wavelengths from the Infinera DTN. ILS1 can be used in metro, regional, or long-haul networks requiring up to 800Gb/s capacity per fiber.

Infinera Line System 2 (ILS2)

The Infinera Line System 2 features Infinera's passive Photonic Integrated Circuit technology. ILS2's passive PICs support 160 wavelengths at 25GHz channel spacing in the C-band. With features including EDFA and Raman amplification, optical bypass, and support for 10, 40, and 100G, ILS2 supports applications from ultra-long-haul distances to festoon spans to high-capacity metro cores.

Infinera IQ Network Operating System

All Infinera DTNs run the IQ Network Operating System. The IQ Network Operating System provides the networking intelligence that makes a Digital Optical Network far easier to engineer, operate, and evolve than a traditional analog optical network. The IQ Network Operating System enables the distribution of digital management information amongst nodes within the Digital Optical Network, automating many complex and time-consuming Operations Administration Maintenance & Provisioning (OAM&P) tasks, including provisioning, configuration, fault management, and restoration.
