Infinera Optical Line Amplifier
This low cost bidirectional amplifier extends the optical reach between DTNs, and is designed to support up to eighty 10Gb/s channels in the C band for 800Gb/s of capacity per fiber.
The Infinera DTN Optical Line Amplifier (OLA) is deployed where access to the digital signal within the Digital Optical Network is not required, and to extend the optical reach between DTN Digital Nodes. Designed to fit in a 23 or 19 inch rack or 300mm x 600mm ETSI rack, the Infinera OLA is comprised of the OTC chassis, complete with integrated alarm panel, dual fans, and dual power entry modules to support redundant power feeds.

For system control, the OLA supports optionally redundant Optical Management Modules, or OMMs, for system operational communication and control.
Network fiber terminates on the two Optical Amplifier Modules, or OAMs, with each OAM supporting a single direction of optical transmission, and incorporating an integrated 1550 nm Optical Supervisory Channel. Module options support either 40 or 80-wavelength operation, or 400Gb/s to 800Gb/s per fiber.
