Infinera offers a full suite of training courses for planners, engineers, provisioners, field support, and other members of your team. We can schedule courses at our labs, at the location of your choice, or even provide computer-based training. We can also customize the subject matter to suit the needs of your organization.

A comprehensive and up-to-date set of product guides can help your team find the information they need, quickly and easily. A set of relevant manuals come with all Infinera products, and are also available upon request via web downloads, email attachments, or CD-ROMs. If you ever need product documentation, simply contact anyone on the Infinera sales or customer support teams.


Infinera DTN™ Technical Training Course Offerings

Infinera DTN™ Platform Overview
This two-day course provides an overview of the Infinera DTN platform, the core building block of the Infinera Digital Optical Network® system. It covers the architecture, network applications, and product description, as well as the features and capabilities of the Infinera Graphical Node Manager (GNM) and Infinera Digital Network Administrator (DNA) applications.

Infinera DTN Turn-up and Test
This three-day course is designed for the field technician who will be responsible for conducting the Turn up and Test on the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Day one of this course is the Product Overview and days two and three cover the practical application Turn Up and Test. This course includes in-depth lectures on the features and functions of the Digital Transport Chassis (DTC), MTC and the Optical Transport Chassis (OTC). Students perform all hands-on exercises necessary to complete a Turn Up and Test on the Infinera Digital Optical Network.

Infinera Graphical Node Manager (GNM) OAM&P
This three-day training course is designed for personnel responsible for operating, administrating, maintaining, and provisioning (OAM&P) the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Days two and three cover the practical application of OAM&P operations. Students are given detailed lectures on the functions and OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Students also perform hands-on exercises, on the Infinera GNM, for all OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera Digital Optical Network.

Infinera Digital Network Administrator (DNA) OAM&P
This three-day course is designed for personnel responsible for operating, administrating, maintaining, and provisioning the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Days two and three consist of the practical application exercises necessary to become familiar with monitoring the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Students are given a lecture on the functions of the Digital Network Administrator (DNA). The hands-on exercises are accomplished on the Infinera DNA.

First Line Maintenance (FLM) Certification
This two-day course is designed to for the First Line Maintenance (FLM) technician who will be responsible for conducting maintenance and troubleshooting on the Infinera Digital Optical Network. This course includes in-depth lectures on the features and functions of the DTN and the Optical Line Amplifier hardware and software. Students perform all hands-on exercises necessary to complete first line maintenance certification on the Infinera Digital Optical Network.

Infinera DNA OAM&P Certification
This five-day course is designed to certify personnel responsible for day to day operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Days two through five cover practical application of OAM&P and certification testing. Students are given detailed lectures on the functions and OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Students will also receive hands-on exercises for all OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. The hands-on exercises are accomplished utilizing the Infinera Digital Network Administrator (DNA).

OAMP Certification
This five-day course is designed to certify personnel responsible for day to day operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning (OAM&P) of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Days two through five cover the practical application of OAM&P and certification testing. Students are given detailed lectures on the functions and OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Turn up and Test Certification
This five-day course is designed to certify the field technician who will be responsible for conducting the Turn-up and Test on the Infinera Digital Optical Network®. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Days two through five cover the practical application of Turn-up and Test and certification testing. Digital Optical Network Troubleshooting
This three-day technical training course is designed to train the technician who will be responsible for troubleshooting the Infinera Digital Optical Network. Students perform all hands-on exercises necessary to troubleshoot the Infinera Digital Optical Network, through the use of the Infinera GNM and Infinera DNA.

Infinera Network Planning System
This course provides training on the Infinera Network Planning System, for planning and designing new and incremental Infinera networks. Covered features include optical link engineering, routing, equipment placement, output reports, and other system capabilities.

Infinera ATN™ Technical Training Course Offerings

ATN Product Overview
This one-day technical training course provides an overview of Infinera ATN architecture, network applications, and product description. Covered topics include: the ATN system architecture, hardware overview, signal flow, and an architectural, feature and capabilities overview of the Infinera Graphical Node Manager (GNM) and Infinera Command Line Interface (CLI).

ATN Turn Up and Test
This two-day technical training course is designed for the field technician who will be responsible for conducting the Turn up and Test on the Infinera ATN. Covered topics include: commissioning a Gateway Network Element (GNE), commissioning a Subtending Network Element (SNE) provisioning the Optical Supervisory Channel (OSC), fibering a digital span, provisioning a circuit, and interpreting alarms. Day one of this course is the ATN Product Overview. Day two covers the practical application exercises needed to commission the ATN.

ATN OAM&P
This two-day technical training course provides an overview of the procedures for operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of the Infinera ATN. Covered topics include use of the Infinera GNM, alarm descriptions, troubleshooting, circuit pack configuration, querying and provisioning a working network element, understand performance monitoring and alarm clearing techniques. Day one of this course is the ATN Product Overview; day two covers the practical application exercises needed to become familiar with monitoring and managing a network element.

ATN Turn-up and Test / OAMP Combined Course
This three-day technical training course provides an overview of the procedures to commission a network element, and an overview of the OAM&P procedures for the Infinera ATN from a single node view, using the Infinera GNM. Day one of this course is the Product Overview. Day two covers the practical application exercises needed to commission a network element. Day three covers the practical application exercises needed to become familiar with monitoring and managing a network element via GNM.

Infinera ATN Turn-up and Test Certification
This three-day technical training course is designed to certify the field technician who will be responsible for conducting the Turn Up and Test on the Infinera ATN. Day one of this course is the Product Overview and days two through three cover practical application of Turn up and Test and certification testing. This course includes in-depth lectures on the features and functions of the ATC. The student will perform all hands-on exercises necessary to complete certification for Turn Up and Test on the Infinera ATN.

Infinera ATN OAM&P Certification
This three-day technical training course is designed for certifying personnel responsible for operating, administrating, maintaining, and provisioning (OAM&P) of the Infinera ATN. Students receive detailed lectures on the functions and OAM&P capabilities of the ATN, and also perform hands-on exercises, using the Infinera GNM, for all OAM&P capabilities of the Infinera ATN. Day one of this course is the Product Overview and day two through three covers practical application of OAM&P and certification testing.

Infinera ATN FLM Certification
This two-day technical training course is designed for the First Line Maintenance (FLM) technician responsible for conducting maintenance and troubleshooting on the Infinera ATN. This course includes detailed lectures on the functions and features of the ATN hardware and software. The students also perform all hands-on exercises necessary to complete first line maintenance certification on the Infinera ATN. Day one of this course is the Product Overview and day two covers the practical application exercises needed to perform first line maintenance on a network element.

ATN Troubleshooting
This two-day technical training course is designed to train the technician responsible for troubleshooting the Infinera ATN. This will include use of GNM, online troubleshooting tools, alarm descriptions, network troubleshooting, understanding performance monitoring statistics, utilizing nonintrusive testing of a circuit, and utilizing intrusive testing. The student will perform all hands-on exercises necessary to troubleshoot the Infinera Digital Optical Network.
