Total compensation at Infinera includes a competitive base salary, performance-based variable pay, and the opportunity to earn equity compensation.

Beyond our individual employee benefits, Infinera offers a number of programs and initiatives that reflect what we value most outside of the office. The people of Infinera are passionate about what they do and often that passion for excellence spills over into other areas of life; and we want to both support and encourage that involvement. Every year we host a company-wide Take Our Kids to Work Day event. The affair includes educational pieces and entertainment to help our employees’ children understand how their parents are helping to define what the network will be. For older offspring, we offer the Summer Work Program so young adults can be exposed to possible career paths and required skillsets.

Infinera believes strongly in corporate social responsibility and we have established a number of programs to foster this ideal. Our “Going Green” initiative has resulted in company sponsored light rail passes and aggressive recycling and waste reduction programs. In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Infinera was recognized with the prestigious Waste Reduction (WRAP) Award by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). Our emphasis on corporate responsibility is also reflected in Infinera’s Community Fund. The Fund is used to encourage and support our employees who are involved in charities and local non-profits in their neighborhood. In addition to financial donations, The Community Fund organizes a quarterly volunteer activity, sponsoring employees to spend the day helping out a local charity. We believe that corporate responsibility is more than just company initiatives, its supporting the individual employees who are already championing causes benefiting their local and global community.
